Something very unexpected scampered into our lives over the weekend! After months of searching for our next family member without much success, suddenly it happened within a day's notice. Getting ready for a puppy in one day is a traumatizing experience. Fortunately, we live in a town where there are more pet stores than grocery stores, not to mention a bakery just for dogs, so I received a lot of advice as to how to best prepare. Now we are knee deep in housebreaking, puppy terrors (sudden and inexplicable bursts of energy), sleep deprivation and hours spent getting acquainted with this wonderful creature.

He's already had a few adventures-- mostly good, like tasting his first liver treat, and being the center of attention wherever he goes. He probably could have done without being slapped in the face by a one-armed kitten at the vet's office, but I'm sure it will help build character.

I'll try not to clog my instagram feed with pictures and videos of Atticus, but I can't make any guarantees.
